I’ve found high-pressure water jets as an affordable, effective and efficient way to cut through drain blockages. High-pressure drain jetting is non-invasive, which means no harsh chemicals are being used, so it’s not harmful to the environment.
Plumbing hydro jets are similar to a home water pressure cleaner but deliver very powerful blasts of water, which require a highly experienced operator for safety reasons. They can clean the insides of pipes quickly, removing scale and deposits and also push through any obstructions. They can even cut through tree roots, and be used in conjunction with a drain camera to investigate the pipe prior to clearing a blocked drain.
